What is For the Church For the City?
For the Church for the City is a year long focus on the lifestyle of serving based on the scripture in
Matthew 5:16. In this passage we see Jesus is teaching and telling the people “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.” He has called us to a serve others. This not only shows others that we love them but it also allows His love for them as well in hopes of them turning to Him in order that our Heavenly Father will be glorified.
As a church staff, we are asking that you in 2022 in these 5 ways:
-Serve at MHBC for one hour per week
-Serve in gospel ministry- one hour per month
- Life Groups: Adopt a ministry initiative
-Serve on a local, state, or international
mission trip
-Adopt on neighbor to love and serve this year
