MHBC STUDENTS
Mission
The MHBC Student Ministry exists to bring the lost sheep and infants of the faith to full maturity in Christ, so that they seek the Lord, serve others as more important than themselves, and share the gospel with confidence and clarity with all peoples. All of this by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, apart from works, so that no one may boast.
Vision
The MHBC Student Ministry will cultivate students who seek the Lord, serve others as more important than themselves, and share the gospel with confidence and clarity. In this, our students will have the same love, be united in spirit, intent on one purpose, and look not to their own interests, but to the interests of others.
Life Groups
Life groups start at 9:15 every Sunday morning in The Pit. Here, students are split by gender to allow for an in-depth study of different aspects of the Bible. The best way to start your week is by having a deep discussion about the God we love and learning about His love for us.
DGroups
DGroups take place on Sunday nights at 5 pm in the youth room. These are free-flowing Q&A sessions where students can ask about whatever they have questions about. We have covered everything from denominational differences and philosophy to Islam and dinosaurs.
Praise Team
The praise team is made up entirely of our students. These students lead our whole group in worship through music every Wednesday. This is an opportunity for students to make their faith their own by being given an opportunity to be role models and leaders.
Leadership Team
The main priority is the personal discipleship of each team member. They are required to go through specific materials and participate in specialized discipleship practices. Additionally, these students are pivotal in building a culture of community, a hunger for growth, and bold, genuine Christianity.
Super Summer
Super Summer is a discipleship/evangelism leadership conference designed to provide qualitative spiritual growth and help develop student leadership in Mississippi churches. To be eligible to attend, students must complete the requirements set by the MBCB and MHBC.
